Intellectual Property Intelligence Center - NIPI

The Special Secretariat for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy, through Ordinance No. 4,426, of 22 June 2021, established the Intellectual Property Intelligence Center ("NIPI"), composed of representatives from the Secretariat and the BPTO.

Through bimonthly meetings, NIPI will be responsible for producing and disseminating studies and research to support competitiveness and productivity development policies based on the analysis of industrial property-related data. The ordinance also provides for the institution of thematic study groups, limited to five groups operating simultaneously, each with up to fifteen members and a maximum duration of one year.
