The Central Bank published the table with the value limits for transactions within the scope of Pix, by means of Normative Instruction BCB No. 20 of 9/25/2020.
Under the regulations, Pix participants may establish maximum value limits for initiation of a Pix, per paying user, considering the following criteria:
Limits can be set per transaction, per day and per month.
There is the possibility to establish and set higher value in case of: I - prior registration of the payee's transactional account; II - Scheduled Pix; III - the service channel used by the paying user; IV - the receiving user's account being of the same ownership as the paying user's account; V - the form of authentication of the paying user; or VI - any other criterion defined by the participant.
The Normative Instruction shall enter into force on November 3, 2020.
