The Central Bank has just announced the deadline for Payment Institutions and Financial Institutions, with optional participation, to request their registration with PIX and the Instant Payment System. This deadline also applies to Financial Institutions and Payment Institutions with less than 500 thousand active accounts that wish to join PIX.
According to Circular Letter no. 4,022, of 09.04.2020, Payment Institutions that have an interest in offering the PIX to their clients, at the time of its launch, will have until 01.06.2020 to register in the formal stage of approval of the implementation process.
After this deadline, new registration requests may be made at any time as of December 1, 2020..
