Resolution BCB 103 of 08/06/21 instituting the Special Return Mechanism has just been made available.
The special refund mechanism standardises the rules and procedures to enable the refund of amounts by the payment service provider (PSP) of the receiving user, on its own initiative or at the request of the PSP of the paying user, in cases where there is reasonable suspicion of fraud or in situations where there is an operational failure in the systems of the institutions involved in the transaction.
The standard comes into force on 16 November 2021.
