The Central Bank enacted Resolution BCB 88 of 4/22/2021, making it mandatory for PIX participants to offer the PIX Scheduled as from September 1, 2021.
As informed by the Central Bank, "this measure aims to further expand the convenience of payers, ensuring that all users, regardless of the institution they have account, can schedule a Pix".
The same regulation also brought changes to the PIX Collection. The reading of a QR Code associated to a Collection Pix and the initiation of a Pix with the information of the Collection Pix shall be made available by the participants of the Pix providers of transactional accounts. As of July 1, 2021, in case of the Collection Pix related to payments with due date, the Pix participants shall allow the paying user to schedule a Pix for a certain future date.
Finally, the Resolution brought changes related to the accounts arising from the Emergency Assistance 2021. The availability of a Pix initiation service for the movement of the balance of such accounts will be optional in cases in which the transactions: I - are performed until April 29, 2021; or II - have the purpose of moving funds to transaction accounts owned by the beneficiary of the aid.
