The Federal Government published, through Decree No. 10.22, dated February 5, 2020, the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
Nicknamed E-Ciber, it is the first module of the National Information Security Strategy, provided for in the National Information Security Policy enacted in 2018 for federal public administration bodies and entities.
E-Ciber proposes to make Brazil a country of excellence in cybersecurity through a governance model, centralized in the Institutional Security Office of the Presidency of the Republic, and the promotion of a participatory, collaborative, reliable and secure environment between public sector, private sector and society, placing high regard on concepts of privacy and data protection reinforced by the LGPD.
